At The Sky Valley Food Bank
If you or someone you know is in need of food, please book an appointment below to shop at our market.
How It Works
You must have an appointment to shop. Click on one of the links below to schedule your time, and see below for additional information.
Please bring your own boxes or bags to load your food into after you shop.
You may shop free of charge once per week at our indoor market. If you need food a second time during the week, please call the Food Bank at (360) 794-7959 between 9:00 and 11:00 on Monday through Thursday to pick up a pre-packed box.
During winter weather, the Food Bank is closed when the Monroe School District is closed. Click here for more information.
Your First Visit to the Food Bank:
If it is your first visit to the Food Bank and would like to shop in our market, please schedule an appointment online for anytime that is available. Because of the time it takes to process your paperwork, you will receive a non-perishable food box on your first visit. When you arrive, we will provide you with the paperwork to fill out and explain how the market works. You can then make an appointment on our website to shop for the following week. You will be able to schedule an appointment every week online.
All Ages Shopping Day
Anyone may shop once per week on either Tuesday from 2:45-5:00 pm or Thursday from 9:00-11:30 am.

Senior Shopping Day
Senior citizens (65 and over) may shop during our Senior Shopping Time on Mondays from 11:30-12:30.

Live near Index and in need of food? Come by our Mobile Food Bank the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Doolittle Pioneer Park.

What if I can’t come during your open hours?
Give us a call at 360-794-7959. We will figure out a way to get you the food you need. No one should go hungry in our community!
How do I shop for food at the Food Bank?

If it’s your first time, please make your appointment before 4:45 pm on Tuesday or 11 am on Thursday to have time to register and shop.
Please arrive at the Food Bank within 5 minutes of your scheduled time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will receive a pre-packed food box and be unable to shop.

What if I can’t leave my home to get food?
We provide a home delivery service to people who are unable to get to the Food Bank due to illness or disability.

What do I need to bring?

How often can I receive food and are there income guidelines?
You can shop once per week. You may also receive a pre-packed food box if you need food a second time during the week.
There are no income guidelines. We will always provide food to anyone who needs it.
Do you have a translator available if I don’t speak English?
We try to make all our forms and instructions available in English and Spanish. We don’t always have a translator available, but can often find another client or a volunteer to help translate as needed.
