Where do I drop off food?

You can bring food to the Food Bank during any of our donation hours. You can also leave non-perishable donations at one of our alternative drop-off sites.

Download our current list of most-needed foods. We are also always in need of health and hygiene items–download the most-needed toiletries list here. And most importantly of all, we are always collecting food for our emergency weekend backpacks for our school children–download the backpack foods list here. We love to receive your surplus fresh produce from your garden (please clean it first as we don’t have the facilities to do that here). We cannot accept packages of food that have been opened, or baby food that is past date. We do accept pet food as well as people food!

Yes, please! We want to make sure that we have all the information we need to thank and credit you. We also sometimes receive calls from the public during food drives from people wanting to make sure that their donation will get to us. If we know about your drive, we can reassure them that the food will be coming to us.

Yes! We have large and small barrels, crates, and coin jars for your use, along with flyers for most-needed items. Just call or email the Food Bank to pick them up.

Start A Drive

Food drives help keep our shelves stocked with a wide variety of foods to distribute to the 1,300 families that need a helping hand every month!

You can start a drive with your team, at your school, your place of business, your church, or your neighborhood. Just give us a call at (360) 794-7959 to get started!

Here are our suggestions to help your drive be successful:

  • Choose a goal you want to meet. For example: 200 lbs of food, 50 jars of peanut butter, etc.
  • Get the word out. Share your drive on social media.
  • – Have a friendly competition between classrooms, teams, or work departments.
  • Theme days can be fun. Fill a playpen with baby food, plant a garden of canned vegetables, or build a USDA food pyramid.
  • We have collection barrels, cash jars, and signs you can use.
  • – Contact us to let us know when you are having your drive.

Donate Stock

Donating stock is a great way to help yourself and the Food Bank at the same time! Making a gift of appreciated securities held for more than a year can provide you with a tax benefit while providing meals for hundreds of families. When you give securities, you receive a tax deductible donation for the market value of the stock the day you donated it. You won’t owe any capital gains taxes and neither will the Food Bank.

You can also donate stock by printing, filling out, and sending in this paper form.
