Holiday Toy Drive

Every year we transform our food distribution center into Santa’s workshop, stuffed with toys and stockings. Our volunteer elves help our customers pick out what will delight their children on Christmas morning. Our holiday toy drive has been going strong for more than twenty years, and is supported by members of the community who spread the holiday spirit by starting or donating to a toy drive at their workplace or church.

FAQ

What kind of toys do you need?

We collect new, unwrapped toys for children 0 through 12 years of age. We always are especially in need of toys for the older children. Gift certificates are welcomed and appreciated as well as actual toys. We also have an Amazon Wishlist to make it easy for you!

Where do I drop off the toys?

Bring them to the Food Bank during our regular donation hours. You may also use one of our alternative drop off sites. If you have a large donation, call us to arrange a pick up.

How do I donate money for toys?

You may donate online or mail in a check. Just write “Toys” on the memo line of your check, or use the designated drop down box on our website and we will make sure it goes to purchase toys instead of the usual food.

How do I start a toy drive?

Email our Director, Cindy Chessie, or call the Food Bank at 360-794-7959. We have barrels, signs, and promotional materials to help you get started.

How do I volunteer?

Call or email us to become one of our winter toyland elves! We need help setting up the toyland, sorting toys, and walking customers through the “shopping” process.

When do you distribute the toys?

We usually distribute toys on the second Saturday in December.  Check back here for more information as we get closer to the holidays.
