FAQ

How do I know if I am eligible to get food?

We provide food to anyone residing in the Monroe School District, along with the towns of Index and Skykomish. If you are not sure of which school district you live in, just give us a call or come in. We will give you the food you need to get by and help you find the appropriate Food Bank.

How do I shop for food at the Food Bank?

Click here to schedule an appointment to shop for food. Please arrive at the Food Bank within 5 minutes of your scheduled time.  Please do not arrive early as our bathrooms will not be open. If you do not have an appointment, we will assist you in making one when you arrive.  Please have only one person come to shop for your family.  Masks are recommended, but whatever your choice, please be kind and respectful of everyone.

What if I can’t leave my home to get food?

We provide a home delivery service to people who are unable to get to the Food Bank due to illness or disability. Click here for an application to see if you are eligible for this service. Just send us the completed application or give us a call to get started.

What do I need to bring?

Bring your own boxes or bags, and a mask if you prefer to wear one. That’s it!

How often can I receive food and are there income guidelines?

You can shop once per week. You may also receive a pre-packed food box if you need food a second time during the week. There are no income guidelines. We will always provide food to anyone who needs it.

Do you have a translator available if I don’t speak English?

We try to make all our forms and instructions available in English and Spanish. We don’t always have a translator available, but can often find another client or a volunteer to help translate as needed.

What if I can’t come during your open hours?

Give us a call at 360-794-7959.  We will figure out a way to get you the food you need.  No one should go hungry in our community!
